Fieldgate Dental is thrilled to welcome Dr. Sandeep Walia, a University of Western Ontario graduate and ICOI fellow, to our dental family. With expertise in cosmetic rehabilitation, snoring and sleep apnea treatment, and restorative dentistry, Dr. Walia will collaborate with our in-house specialists to provide exceptional patient care. He is also a proud member of the AADSM.
Dr. Walia graduated from BDCH Davangere, a prestigious dental school in India, in 1995. He furthered his education through world-class institutions, including the New York University program for international graduates. After moving to Canada in 2004, he joined the DDS program at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he earned the Chair Award in Periodontics in 2008.
Outside of work, Dr. Walia enjoys golf, movies, and spending time with his family. He lives in Oakville with his wife, a dental hygienist and office manager, their three children, Riya, Pearl, and Shaurya, and his mother.

The staff is very nice and welcoming. The dentist was amazing, she did a really good job on my extraction. She really goes into detail about things and she always made sure I wasn’t in any pain. I highly recommend going here.

I'm very happy I found Fieldgate Dental. This is the nicest, friendliest and more efficient dentist ever been to. Marilyn (the reseptionist) is amazing, she is always helpful and very professional. I will recommend this dentist for sure. Thank you for such an amazing service!

When I got to say I came in today my tooth was bothering me it took me in right away within a couple hours I didn't have to make an appointment for another day or another week so that's why I choose this Feild dental and I recommend this to a lot of my friends.

ACCEPTING CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN (CDCP)
The Government of Canada has introduced the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), as part of its objective to make dental care more accessible and affordable for those who might not otherwise be able to afford the care needed to maintain good oral health.
How Does It Work?
Scheduled to begin covering treatment in May 2024, the CDCP is a publicly funded dental benefit for those with an annual household income under $90,000 and no private dental insurance.
The plan covers a portion of the cost of an enrolled patient's oral health treatments to prevent and treat oral disease which, in turn, can protect against serious health problems.
Who Qualifies
Anyone wishing to participate in this plan must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
• Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
• Filed an income tax return for the previous year.
• Do not have dental insurance through a private or pension plan or with an employer.
• Have a net (after tax) family income of less than $90,000 annually.
Applications for the CDCP are phased, beginning with seniors. Children under age 18 and those with disabilities are eligible starting June 2024. All other Canadian residents can apply starting in 2025.
